So, check it. This morning, my phone rings and it's a Cincinnati number, business-looking. I took a crazy chance and answered and it was an HR recruiter for a company I had applied to. She didn't want to schedule a time to talk with me - she wanted to do her interview right on the spot. I'm up for that, I can think quickly (I've answered all these questions a gazillion times now anyway, it seems), but it's hard to concentrate on interviewing when Claire is whining because Cam is sitting where she wants and when a spontaneous fight, complete with screeching, breaks out between Luke and Claire. So, I spent most of the interview in the bathroom, sitting on the toilet. Lid down! Good acoustics.
I'm not a fan of kid movies, in general. But I have seen two recently that I loved. Have you seen Toy Story 2? Probably, you have. I just saw it for the first time yesterday, and it is super-cute! Also terrific is Horton Hears a Who. I look forward to watching that one again. Gotta love some Seuss.
I have the funniest story to tell you. We were at my mom's house and she has a turntable in her office. Luke asked me, "What is this?" Told told him, "It's a turntable. You use it to play records." He looked perplexed, then said, "But you need two of these." I asked him, "Huh? Why do you need two?" He looked at me like I'm an idiot and said, "You need two turntables and a microphone." Of course. Can you tell my kids listen to a lot of music?
There is a good chance that I'll be able to move back into my house very soon! We are considering our financial options, and one of them would allow such at thing, for a period at least. I'm excited at the prospect. I miss my house. And I totally miss my freedom and comfort and alone time and stuff like that. And I miss my dog. And my neighbors. I'll keep ya posted.
I'm happy to present the Song of the Day: Open Window by Sarah Harmer. Her voice is pretty amazing.

That's a great song. Sweet voice. Throaty. Sultry.
