My iPod's all filled up. Now what? Ok, I'll delete those 33 podcasts. And all of the Beatles music I don't listen to. All the duplicates. So, I just deleted a bunch of crap and now I'm synching my June playlist. Now that June is nearly over. July will just be June, Part Dos. I'm very pleased with my June playlist. I think it's my favorite so far. It's a good mix, but maybe a bit on the mellow side...might have to spice it up with some hard-driving stuff when July arrives. It'll be like the update you inevitably need to do soon after upgrading to a new version of...practically anything.
Also, speaking of music, I think I'm gonna start giving you a Song of the Day, since I've been pretty kickass good at posting daily for a while now. Maybe it'll be a neat way for you to experience something new-to-you. Or to enjoy something you already know. Or to make fun of my musical tastes. Whatevs. It's all about the entertainment value.
My kids are pretty awesome. Give Luke and Claire a task to do and they make a project of it. Putting a new trash bag in the kitchen garbage can thing (it's not really a can...what do you call it?) becomes a serious production. Luke gets the bag out, shakes it out approximately 14 times, just to make sure it's completely open and not stuck to itself. Claire gets busy using baby wipes to clean the dirt off the lid. They really get into doing a good job and being helpful. Everything has to be very deliberate and to perfection. Soakin' that in, cause I know it'll end soon. Cam would whine and complain the whole time about putting a garbage bag in.
Skin complaint time. The oil...WTF? Has the Gulf oil started seeping into the rivers as well? And do I wash my face with untreated Ohio River water? Ugh, it is the absolute worst it's ever been. I wash my face and it starts oiling up within a half hour. Do I need to start using toner? It's oiliest when I'm not wearing makeup. Somehow, makeup keeps the grease production down? Speaking of the makeup. I'm not exactly bowled over by Clinique's Acne Soulutions foundation. I mean, it's ok...the color is perfect for my skin. But the coverage kinda sucks. It really makes my pores (esp those on my nose) seem huge. Like it highlights them or something. Same goes for Clinique's Line Smoothing Concealer. It's pretty thick, but doesn't really work well. Plus, I think the Clinique lady sold me the wrong shade. What I do love from Clinique is their Redness Solutions Instant Relief Mineral Powder. It is a-maz-ing. It's like magic. My skin tone is so uneven and I get this giant red nose and red cheeks, and this stuff just totally makes the redness go bye-bye. I only wish it came in a more travel-friendly size, as well, for my purse.
I'm out of my favorite body wash. You know ALL ABOUT my favorite body wash. But, being a poor bum, I'm going to refrain from buying more until I use all of the reject bottles of substitute body wash I've crazily purchased over the past couple of months.
Guess I'm in a color kinda mood lately. I came across this site this morning, and it's pretty cool. Apparently there's a personal color that corresponds to the real me. Yay for the metaphysical! Yay for Colorstrology! Anyway, you enter your birth month and day, and voila! You get your personal color and your personality described to you. My birth month (January) color is caramel. I'm determined, persistent, logical, and surefooted. Wearing caramel promotes practicality and aids us in manifesting our dreams. My birth day (20th) color is light mahogany. My mind is quick, I'm able to communicate information and insights in a provocative and non-threatening way. Mahogany helps blend my heart with my head. FWIW, I love both colors! :) What are your colors?
