This past weekend was awesome. The weather was awesome. Saturday, Mom and Dad watched Cameron while Tony and I went to dinner with Amy & Shawn. Good fun. Yesterday, we cleaned all day and Jan & Big Jim came over to give Cam his Easter basket. We had KFC and Cam ate like 1/2 of a real green bean! It doesn't sound like much, but it's monumentous! He has previously refused table food.
It's nice out today, but overcast and kind of windy. But it's not cold, so I am happy! I went back on Weight Watchers today, but I've already been bad. I've eaten about 12 Dove milk chocolate eggs. Oh well, when they're gone, they're gone and I won't have to worry about being tempted. And Tony - DO NOT BUY ME ANYMORE, NO MATTER HOW MUCH I BEG! There...it's in writing, so you can throw it back in my face. I think a long family walk is in order tonight. If it doesn't rain.
So, for dinner, I am fixing parmesan garlic chicken, spinach and corn. I don't mind fixing dinner so much - although I'm not anywhere close to a good cook - it's the cleaning up afterward that sucks. I dread it already. What are you having for dinner? I'd like a romantic dinner out for 2 this week. We have gift certificates for Outback/Carrabba's. We'll see.
Cam's urologist appointment is a week from today. It's at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. I don't want to put Cameron though pain, but I just can't wait to get his problem resolved. Over and done with is what I'm looking for!
Ha ha. I just checked my fantasy racing results. I beat everyone else on my team this week! Eat my dust! My picks were: Dale Jarrett, Jeff Gordon, Dale Jr, Brandon Gaughan & Jeff Burton. Sorry about your luck, the rest of you losahs!!! OK, enough gloating. I'll probably come in last place next week.
Oh, this is exciting. Cameron pulled up to a standing position! Tony had him sitting in his lap on the floor. They were playing with his airtivity toy, which sits upright and is oh, I'd say, 2.5 feet tall. Cam grabbed onto the toy and pulled himself right up! Of course he's kinda wobbly on his legs, but it's definitely a milestone!
More exciting news...we bought a new vacuum this weekend. Can you believe I'm actually excited about a new vacuum? Our old one sucked, big time. It was very difficult to push. It had casters instead of wheels and weighed a ton. It was also bagless, which I think is just ignorant. Oh - don't get me wrong - I was truly into buying the bagless a few years back. But I did not realize what a pain it would be. No matter how careful you are, when you empty the canister, dust would get in the air. The new vac is a traditional upright with a bag. It was kind of spendy, but hopefully, it will be worth it. I enjoyed using it this weekend. It automatically adjusts to the height of your flooring and has a bag full indicator, which rocks in my book.
Wow, enough excitement for now! Talk more later.
