A sick, pregnant concert-goer am I!
Blog! Hi!
I've been absent. I've been feeling awful so far this pregnancy. I'm 8.5 weeks and dead tired and nauseous and vomitous constantly. Had my 8 week OB appointment yesterday. Things look good. I even got to see our little blob via ultrasound. It honestly looks just like a blob, with a heartbeat. My c-section will likely be at the end of May.
We've been passing around a virus at our house. I was sick with it two weekends ago. Here's a nice reminder that you really shouldn't take my picture when I'm not feeling well...
Tony and I went to Columbus to see Barenaked Ladies Sunday night! I was feeling like crap, crap, crap all day. I had a fever (another visit from our family virus? yay!) and just felt icky. But. I am so glad we went! My fever seemed to break on the drive up. The show was AWESOME. AWESOME! I mean, I swear, the setlist could have been custom-picked by me. Our seats were the bomb. Third row, just left of center. We took lots of pictures, but most all were blurry. I took my old digital camera, since my good one is way huge and unsneakable in my purse. Here are some decent ones, though. Can you believe how close we were?
Ed-a-licious
Steve (we were directly in front of Steve)
An acoustic group shot
And a bonus of Ed
It was a great experience. The venue was wonderful. It was at the Schottenstein Center on OSU's campus. The workers were polite and helpful...the whole place was organized and clean. Parking was free. I just couldn't ask for more. And the opening act, Mike Doughty, was pretty cool, too. Check him out at http://www.mikedoughty.com/. He used to be in a band called Soul Coughing, but I'm not familiar with them, so it's all new to me!
Anyway, BNL rocked. We didn't stay after to meet them, although I *think* Tony might have been ok with doing so. I just felt exhausted and wanted to get home. We had a two-hour drive ahead of us and JAN was watching the boys. 'Nough said, right? No worries, though, because we get to do it all over again on November 17 in Cincinnati! Hopefully, I'll get to make their acquaintances then. And hopefully, the show will be just as rockin!
Peace out.

Double your pleasure? I think not.
I think I've talked about double rolls before. Toilet paper, that is. We don't buy double rolls, because they don't fit well on our paper holder. There have been a couple of occasions, though, where we had to pick up some doubles when single rolls weren't available. So, once we tried Kleenex Cottonelle double roll. It sucked. It was rougher than regular roll. Could have been a couple of things - maybe it was a faulty batch...maybe Cottonelle just skimps on the double roll and sacrifices quality for quantity). I didn't think much more about it, since we just get the singles anyway. Then, we switched brands. I think Cottonelle has changed altogether. Not as soft and linty as hell. Or maybe my butt sensitivity has changed. Whatever. We've been giving Angel Soft a trial run. A probationary period, if you will. Things have been going well. But, for whatever reason, Tony got the dreaded double rolls last time. Imagine my disappointment when, ONCE AGAIN, I find the double roll to be chintzy! Like, noticeably thinner. Like, my goods actually are shredding the paper. (if that isn't TMI, I don't know what is) OK, so now I'm just vowing to use single rolls no matter what. I'm officially anti-DR and shall begin my campaign of their demise. Or I will just complain about my experiences every chance I get.
Oh, and by the way, I'm pregnant again.
