Toast, a Recipe, a Day of Cleaning?

Cam is awesome! He at at least a half of a piece of toast with breakfast this morning! Yay! I guess he's going to start trying table foods now. Big boy! Right now, he's terrorizing Hanker. Hank's hiding under the desk and Cameron's trying to get him. Poor Hank. Now they're both under the desk. Cam found the vent register, which I'm sure hasn't been cleaned in ages.

My tuna casserole turned out well last night. Here's the recipe for those who'd like to try it:

12 oz elbow macaroni
1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup (but I'm thinking any "cream of" would work)
2 cups grated monterey jack/mild cheddar cheese (comes in one package)
1 (12 oz) can tuna
1 (15 oz) can whole kernel corn, drained

Cook macaroni & drain. Mix together macaroni & remaining ingredients. Pour into a 9x13 inch baking dish. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.

Anyway, we liked it. If the corn turns you off, I'm sure it would be fine without.

Here's what I wish. I wish that for just one day, I could put Cameron in daycare (or something like that) and be able to clean, do laundry, run to the store - whatever - by myself all day long. No interruptions. It's hard to keep house when you have to be quiet for naps, feed bottles, feed solids, change diapers, play or just keep an eye on Cam while he's playing alone. Almost impossible. Right now, the dishwasher is 1/4 loaded with dirty dishes. Cam let me unload and partially reload while he was in his highchair after breakfast/brunch. Then he let me know that he is NOT happy just sitting there. So I picked him up, danced and sang with him and put him in his pack n play, since he's been liking it lately. He started sobbing right away. So, the dishwasher remains partially loaded. Naptime = laundrytime for me. I've folded towels, Cam's clothes are in the dryer and whites are in the washer.

Oh, I finished my second Stephanie Plum novel. Tony bought me #3 ~ Three to Get Deadly ~ last night. I'm addicted. Thanks Shannon! I predict I'll have all 10 read by the end of July. We'll see!

OK, well, gotta go finish the dishwasher.
