Yesterday, Cameron and I met my mom and dad (Grandma Jackie & Grandpa Joe) for lunch. Cam was in an excellent mood and we had a great time. After, C-man and I went shopping at the mall. Our main purpose was to look for an outfit for him to wear for his photo sitting today. We purchased way more than one outfit.
Let's see....I think it went like this. We bought a bodysuit and two pairs of shorts at The Children's Place. Then we headed down to Lazarus (oh, excuse me, I mean Lazarus-Macy's) where we stood in line for 95 years to buy a sunsuit for the beach in July. Next, we strolled into JC Penney to check out their selection. Wouldn't you know, we found a cute little bodysuit with a fish on it for 4.99. A must-have. So far, no outfit for photo sitting. I knew I'd find something at Gymboree, but was hoping not to have to shell out those kind of bucks. So much for that. At Gymboree we went hog wild. Found a cute romper with matching socks for Cam's picture. Not to stop there, though. I also bought two additional bodysuits, just because they were cute. Hey, don't yell at me - one was on sale. Finally (and at this point, we were both getting a little tired) we stopped in at Stride Rite and bought Cameron's first pair of big boy shoes! They are plain white walkers. C did not know quite what to think of them. Finally, we headed home for a nap. Whew. What a spending spree.
Oh, just so you know, I am almost finished with my new Stephanie Plum novel. I have like 20 pages left. I've been a reading fool lately.
Busy days ahead....tonight is Cam's photo sitting. Friday night, Tony gets his hair cut and I get my brows waxed. We are having a Mother's Day cookout Sunday, so we will be busting ass all weekend to get the house and back patio ready for that. As usual, the house is in pretty dismal shape. The office has a lovely protective layer (well, several layers actually) of dust coating everything - except the keyboard keys, which get dusted regularly by my fingers. AHHHHH! We have so much to do!
Wish us luck at the photo sitting tonight. Send Cameron some "good mood" vibes.
