Holy freaking shit! I just wrote a whole blog entry and then accidentally closed the window. I doubt I'll have time to recapture it all now...Cameron is playing patiently in his pack-n-play, but he'll be yearning for freedom very soon. Blah, I feel like an idiot now.
OK, so what did I write? Yes, Cameron turned one on June 30th. Can't believe my little man has been around for over a year now! We did not do too much that day...went shopping and went to his 12-month pediatrician visit. It went very well. She was not very concerned that Cam is not liking milk too much. She said to just keep offering it, but if he ends up hating milk, oh well. He got his chicken pox vaccine and one other (not MMR...maybe hib?) He's still my big boy, at 26 lbs 10 oz (95%tile) and 32 3/4 inches (95+ %tile).
Cam gets to see yet another specialist (so far, he's seen the ENT and pediatric urologist). Now he gets to meet the pediatric ophthalmologist, since his tear ducts are still blocked. The appointment is August 16th. His ped said many times, the ducts magically clear up the day of the appointment, but I doubt we'll get that lucky. The procedure is a lot like ear tubes - they get anesthesia and the ducts are probed (sounds sickening to me). It's quick and safe and apparently not a big deal. Our guy is always throwing us curve balls!
We had Cameron's second "main" birthday party at home on July 3rd. It was a blast! Lots of people came, ate, partied and brought wonderful gifts! I still need to do thank you cards. The funniest moment of the day was when we sang "Happy Birthday" to him. He started dancing in his highchair! So cute!
Ahhh, I knew it. C-note is asking to get out of his jail now. Crud. I only got to rewrite half of the original entry. Well, I will have to come back to it later. I'll try to do it soon. Until then, see you.
