Sorry, Ed, you'll have to move down...

Is it wrong to eat the Bunny Crisp from your son's Easter basket? No, I say, because he gets enough sugar as it is and a Bunny Crisp would put him over the top. Yep. That, and I didn't get any Bunny Crisps in my basket.

"Have you been to busy drooling over your man to post a blog update, Melzers???" Yes, Julie, thanks. No, actually - although I do dig seeing Ed's hotness when I open my blog - I've just been super duper busy and a little lazy. Lots of Easter festivities and basketball to watch. My nerves are totally shattered after watching UK lose in double OT. Yeah, there's a reason I don't regularly watch bball! Too stressful. I too no Easter pictures this weekend. I guess I just wasn't feeling ultra festive or anything. Friday night, we had an early Easter dinner at my Aunt Vicki's house. I think it is so rocking that she always has holiday celebrations before the actual holiday. Most people are not so understanding about having 15 million places to go in one day. Tony didn't go because he was feeling all sickly (sinuses or head cold, take your pick) but Cameron and I had a nice time. He had a blast playing with his cousins and giving everyone there kisses.

Saturday, we had Jan and Jim (tony's mom and stepdad) over to celebrate Big Jim's birthday. They arrived half an hour late (typical) toting armfuls of large shopping bags. Why? Well, about four of the bags were Cam's Easter gifts and the other two were Jim's birthday gifts. OK, so Grandma Jan always overdoes it on the gifts. Always. I don't know why I was surprised or shocked. She totally showed up the Easter Bunny. So, for Easter, my 21 month old son received from one grandparent: a plastic lawn mower (thanks, Jan, I wanted to get him that for his birthday), one giant (ugly) stuffed gray bunny holding a carrot, a smaller stuffed purple bunny, a medium-sized dump truck, a sticker book and a giant basket filled with tons of candy and snacks and random junk toys. In fact, she had so much candy and stuff that she had to put the overflow in a separate bag! Can you believe all that crap? The funny thing is - Tony and his brother never got gifts for Easter...only baskets with candy. I mean, it was like his birthday or something. Oh well. She is always buying him crap everytime we turn around. In fact, I don't think she's ever visited him without bringing a gift. Way to buy your grandson's love, grandma. I so can't wait until Stason have their baby so she can obsess and spoil the shit out of him/her and take some of the focus off Cam. Hopefully, anyway.

Sunday, we had brunch at my sister's, which was wonderful! I ate so much it was disgusting. Not the food, of course, just my stomach afterward! I so wanted a nap after. Instead, we hauled ourselves off to Jonesville to visit with M&B and the rest of the Maddox family. We got there after everyone had eaten, and it cleared out kinda early, so we got to spend some "quieter" time with just some of the family, which I think is nicer. When we first got there, Cam just clinged to me and I held him to my chest for like 30 minutes. (He napped on the drive there for like 45 minutes, and I don't think it was quite enough for him.) After some of the folks left, though, he brightened up and started playing with everyone. Which means taking each of his Great Aunts for a walk around the house, stuffing animal crackers in Aunt Debbie's mouth, walking in circles and the like. We only stayed about 2 hours, since everyone seemed to be leaving, and got home in time to catch most of the dreaded UK game. I think they played so sloppily and was surprised they dragged it out to double overtime. I'm kind of glad it's over for them - less stress for me!

Yesterday, Tony stayed home from work because he was "sick." Actually, he just slept like shit the night before and wanted to sleep in. Cam was happily surprised to find Daddy on the couch when he woke up. Despite the buckets of rain we got yesterday, we decided to get out and enjoy Tony's day "off." We drove up to Old Spaghetti Factory, but it wasn't open yet! It was only 2ish and it doesn't open until 4. We went to Don Pablo's instead. The food was the bomb - it really hit the spot for me - but our server sucked big donkey balls. All he wanted to do was flirt with the table two booths down from us. Then we went to Dick's where Tony got two new pairs of khaki-type pants. Yay! That guy needed casual pants in the worst way. And they were on super sale and are a pretty good brand, so hopefully they'll last. Next, we headed to Tri County Mall. We made the big mistake of letting Cameron play in the little play area first. He loved it, of course, but screamed bloody murder when we drug him kicking and screaming to the stroller to go the actual shopping. You live and learn, right? Next time - shop first, play last. Cam got 3 tops at Gymbo (big sale, yay!). I really am not creaming my jeans over any of the lines lately, but there were some cute pieces that I was cool paying discounted prices for. Tony picked out three t-shirts from The Children's Place for him, too! They are very boyish and kind of alternative-looking. I might not have chosen them, but he'll look totally cool in them and I think it's awesome that Daddy got him some clothes!

OH! You probably would like to hear about Friday's OB appointment, huh?? Well, it went swimmingly! We dropped Cam off at my mom's got to the office early and I filled out a crapload of new pregnancy paperwork. We were called back in a very timely manner (that's what an early morning appointment will get you, I guess!). The nurse went over all the dos and donts of pregnancy, gave us our goody bag, took my blood pressure (was good), weighed me (I looked away), stuff like that. Then Dr. Lea came in and did the icky breast exam. Then he pulled out the doppler and found the baby's heartbeat pretty quickly. It was really strong! He was pushing around on my abdomen while we were listening to the heartbeat and he asked, "are you sure of your last period date?" And I'm like, "absolutely." And he asked, "was it a full, normal period?" And I said, "yes....WHY?" He said, "well, you feel a little big." And I was like WHAT?!?? So I got a little ultrasound Friday. Only one baby - whew. Thank God - just carrying a little high. Everything is normal so far and he said a VBAC is a possibility, as long as things go well and the baby is not too big (kind of like Cam was). I still have to go to the lab at the hospital for my bloodwork. They are open until 7pm, so I think we might go tonight. My next appointment is April 25, with my favorite OB, Dr. Hensley, who delivered Cam.

Well, then. This blog is getting ridiculously long, so I think I'll end it now. I need a shower anyway. Happy Tuesday!
