Every time Tony goes to Macaroni Grill with me, we get the most horrendous service. We never have a good time. When just my sister and I go, we have excellent service. It's odd. I guess they can't handle tables of more than two? Anyway, Tony, Cameron and I met Amy at Mac Grill last night. First, we had to wait about 10 minutes, but there were tons of empty tables. Then, we got the server from hell. They guy was pleasant enough, but he was a moron. A horrible server....it definitely was not the career choice for him. He rushed around like a madman, but got nothing accomplished. We needed refills constantly. He brought us bread (finally) but didn't give us the olive oil dipping stuff. We had to ask for it. Salads came out way late. It took ages to get our meal. I'm serious - people who sat down way after us were leaving before we even got our entrees! While we were eating, Cam spit up majorly. I say spit up, but it was actually like vomit - only without the vomit smell. I guess he just had too much in his mouth at once, but it went all down the front of him and was quite wet. We were there so long that by the time I had taken like 10 bites of my penne arrabiata, I was ready to go. So we got to-go boxes and hightailed it out of there - after the server finally took our credit card, that is. It was so not fun. We were there from 6:10 to 7:55! That is insane! That is way too long for a toddler. Cam was getting so upset and fussy and I don't blame him. I felt the same way, but since I'm an adult, I couldn't show it. Ugh, what a shit experience. At least I have yummy leftovers for lunch today!
Yesterday was the most beauteous day ever! Well, in a long time, at least. It was 75 degrees! We wore short sleeves! The sun felt so good. The ground is still a soaking wet, muddy disaster since we had like 3 inches of rain in a 48 hour period (or more inches, I don't know). Today is supposed to be nice, too, but only 65. Can't complain too much. I finally went to have my bloodwork done at the hospital yesterday. It went awesomely. My phlebotomist was wonderful and used a butterfly needle at my request. I have difficult veins and the butterfly rocks. The lab was practically empty, so it was pretty much in and out for us. The thing that took the longest was my urine sample. Hard to pee on demand, if you know what I mean.
Crap, I just realized I've totally screwed up our budget, so I'd better so fix it. Financial genius, I am surely not!

Every time we dine out we have horrible service! I think kids just don't want to work anymore. ;)
And 75 degrees?! WOW! I'm jealous!

Wow - we went to Olive Garden last night and had horrible service too. I did get my meal comped because it was cold, but the waitress was horrible! Maybe there was something in the air last night...

You know we have some of the SAME problems at MG sometimes. This last time was excellent, but usually is sucks as well. HMPF. I hate that because servers should be trained that if you see a toddler, you rush EVERYTHING!
