I don't like this 'waiting until you are 10 weeks along before seeing the OB' crap. I'm 8 weeks, 5 days today and am dying to have that appointment. I'm getting all anxious and worried that there is something wrong. That maybe I'm not really pregnant. Ugh, I just need Good Friday to get here so Dr. Lea can hopefully put my mind at ease. I had this shitty dream two nights ago that I went to the doctor and while he was doing the pelvic exam, he was like "oh my god, you are measuring too large!" so the did an ultrasound and it was an ectopic pregnancy so they had to do an emergency D&C. That's how the dream went. I'm pretty sure you measure too big with a molar pregnancy and not an ectopic, but what can I say? I'm an idiot in my dreams? It was an awful dream and pretty much, I think what I have learned from it is: A) I'm reading too much about pregnancy, and B) this wait for my first appointment is driving me insane!
I really have no reason to believe my little 'medium-size olive' is not perfectly fine. My breasts are still killing me. Still nauseous off and on (thank goodness for those now-more-frequent offs!) Still peeing all night long. Tired? Check. But you never know. I lurk on quite a few pregnancy message boards and I just cringe every time someone loses their baby. Everything is fine and then one day they have an ultrasound and there is no heartbeat and the baby is measuring like 2 weeks behind. I don't know why I'm worrying so much now. I've been perfectly confident and unstressed up to this point. I just need to have that damn appointment.
Oh, hey, got the doppler yesterday. I waited all freaking day for it. The DHL guy came at like 3:50, so I was finally able to get my shower...you know, after the day was practically over! I'm not sure when we'll try it out. Definitely not until Thursday (9 weeks) and maybe even later.
I get this Day-by-Day Guide to Your Pregnancy email thing and get what it said yesterday. This just cracks me up.
There are all kinds of maternity undies are out there - from the under-the-belly bikinis to the up-to-the chest briefs. But did you know that maternity thongs are also available? Some women swear they're super comfortable; others wear them simply because they make them feel like their old sexy selves. Japanese Weekend and Bravado both make thong panties just for pregnancy. Read more about thongs -- and much more -- on our Showing site at PregnancyFashion.com!
Yeah, like I'm going to wear a thong while I'm pregnant. Like I'd wear one un-pregnant even. And "super comfortable?" MY ASS! Last I heard, a strip of material up your crackola and hemorrhoids don't exactly go hand and hand, know what I'm saying? And listen to this. The whole thong thing made me think of the cottage cheese cellulite on my butt...and now I feel like eating some cottage cheese! How gross is that? Sick, I tell you.
A'ight, enough preggo talk for today. I'm out.
