Wound up Friday

Listening to: Cam chanting "Ooh ooh ooh" in his crib

Reading: Lamb : The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal by Christopher Moore (I'm liking it much better than Practical Demonkeeping, Julie!)

Soooo...it's 1:40 and Cameron hasn't napped yet. He usually takes his nap about 2.5 hours after he gets up in the morning. Not today. Today, he just wanted to play, play, play! Now, he's had lunch, got his "Backyardigans" fix and is in the crib again. He looks super-tired, so I hope he gets a good nap in. Plus I need a shower!

I'm making Cowboy Crockpot Stew for dinner. It's crocking as I type. I hope it turns out well. For a "10 minute prep time," it sure took ME forever to "throw together." More like 25 minutes, all with C-note pulling at my pants leg, whining "up!" It has stew beef, polska kielbasa, potatoes, onion and baked beans in it. I really hope it's yum, otherwise we'll be FORCED to eat out for dinner.

What is it with this time of year? This morning, Cam and I were surprised to find a winter wonderland outside. Everything was white and these lovely, fluffy flakes were drifting down. I said, "look at the snow!" and Cam replied, with wonderment, "noooooow!" Now, I look outside and there's no evidence of the white stuff anywhere! Was I hallucinating or what? I'll blame it on the sun. That's right.

Ahh, I think the ball of energy in the other room is quiet now...please let him be asleep! I need to work on some bills and budgeting before I get my shower. Actually, I should throw in a load of laundry first, too. Damn housekeeping, who invented it?

Adios!
