Listening to: BNL at the Taft - the Barenaked for the Holidays concert. Yep, I'm listening to holiday music.

Yikes, haven't blogged since Friday! Guess I'm just not in the writing mood. What to say, what to say....oh, the Cowboy Crockpot Stew was good! Now, you have to dig baked beans for it to work for you, but luckily we do. Here's the recipe for all interested:
Cowboy Crockpot Stew
1 small pkg. of stew meat
1 pkg. of sausage or kielbasa
1 medium onion, chopped
3 medium potatoes, chopped (I actually used like 5 medium potatoes)
1 can baked beans of your choice
Place the ingredients into crockpot in the order shown. Cover and cook 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low. Serve with cornbread or rolls. Serves 6 to 8.
OK, you might want to add a bit of water to make it juicer. And I have to question the "serves 6 to 8" claim. More like 3-5. But it's ultra-hearty and fills you up quickly.
So, Sunday, Cameron and I went to my cousin Patrick's "welcome home from Iraq" party. Cam had the time of his life, I think. It was at a VFW hall and Cam had tons of room to run around. He spent the day grabbing people's hands and saying "walk." He likes to take people for walks. He was the only little guy there, so he got lots of attention and everyone was more than willing to feed him junk. Needless to say, he was a happy dude. After a while, he realized that there were big kids there (and I mean big boys - we're talking middle school age +), so he chased them around a bit. He'd go up to one kid he'd put his hands on the kid's butt and push him around! The big boys were not amused...who wants to play with a little baby? One of the "younger" big kids was pretty good and didn't run away when Cam came a-calling. He even smiled and laughed as Cam chased him around. Pretty much, C-note acted like he owned the place. It was an exhausting day for me!
Cameron is getting his first haircut Friday! Well, we're going to try it, anyway. We're taking him to the person who cuts both Tony's and my hair (Cindy) and she said if he hates it, she'll stop and we can take him to one of those kiddie haircut places. I hope it goes well. His hair's not really long. I mean, it's not long all over - it's just long in several places. It's still very fine and really kind of short on top. But it flows over his ears and he's got quite the mullet going on in the back. When it's wet, it goes practically halfway down his back! And he's got a couple of looks: Very Curly and Pretty Wavy. When it's only wavy, it really looks long. When it's curly, though, it doesn't seem so long. So, I'm not sure what I want out of this cut, and I'm really hoping Cindy can guide me!
Tonight, I'm meeting two of my friends for dinner at Applebee's. I'll finally get to see pictures from Melanie's wedding (not that I'm at all looking forward to seeing myself - but I'd like to see her in her lovely dress and see how the outdoor shots came out!)
Time to rescue C-note from his afternoon rest. He's starting to sound rest-less, and that's defeating the purpose! Later gators.
