Cookin'

Listening to: Maroon - bnl

Reading: still between books, but I'm nearing the end of my Glamour, so I'll probably start Lamb by Christopher Moore tonight or tomorrow

Cam and I had a super-cool fun time earlier dancing and singing to Barenaked Ladies' "Maybe Katie." We both love this song and it kinda rocks so we were head banging and jumping around to it. Cam was busting a gut, laughing so hard. I think he likes the way my hair flies around when I bang my head! We were both exhausted afterward, and we had to lie down to catch our breath! Too much fun.

C-note likes when the heat is on. He gets on his stomach and sticks his face in front of the vent and blows back at the air! Silly kiddo.

We are going to make a concerted effort to cook dinner at home most of the time. We are giving ourselves two nights to eat out each week - we don't want to quick cold turkey. I don't think I could handle that. Anyway, I've been printing recipes today and making a grocery list so we actually have ingredients for real meals in the house. It's going to be pretty challenging for us. I don't like to cook and neither of us likes to clean up all the dinner mess. We've got to do something, though, about our overspending. I know cutting back on eating out will solve the problem. That's about our only splurge. Tonight we are having meatloaf, mac-n-chz and carrots. Tomorrow, we'll have chicken of some sort.

My friend, Julie, keeps a food log to track her eating habits because she needs to work on gaining weight during her pregnancy. She has such bad morning sickness. I'm copying her and have started to keep my own food log. But for the opposite reason! I'm logging my intake so I don't eat so freaking much! I'm doing pretty well this week...of course, I don't feel so hot anyway, so overeating isn't really something I feel like doing. It's also a way to force me to drink lots of glasses of agua.

Alright, off to pee - no surprise there, that's my new favorite pastime. :)
