Cafe

I'm not a fine connoisseur of coffee...I just started drinking it seriously this year.  However, I have my opinions.  Some coffee is good.  Some is not.  I brew Eight O'Clock Coffee at home.  I like it quite a bit.  I also like the coffee at First Watch.  The coffee at Bob Evans is ok, in a not-bad kind of way.  McDonald's coffee is gross.  I just don't like it.  The other day, I was in desperate need of coffee for home.  The regional store I was at only had Eight O'Clock whole bean....and I don't have a grinder.  So I had to make a decision.  Based on price (and packaging - yeah, I know), I went with Seattle's Best.  I chose their Breakfast Blend, which is a dark roast.  My opinion?  It's not Eight O'Clock.  It tastes kind of burnt.  If that makes sense.  Hmph.

What coffee brands/blends do you prefer?

P.S.  I may not like McD's coffee, but man is their hot chocolate rawkin'!

I just checked and we drink Silver Canyon whole bean. It is a Boulder based coffee company and is delicious! We sampled it at the Farmers' Market once and both really liked it. I am also a fairly new coffee drinker and don't like McDonalds either. I also tried Caribou Coffee once and it tasted like burning to me.

This is good to know, Julie, since I have a coupon for Caribou and was wondering if it was worth trying. Wonder no more!

Our favorite is a Highlander Grogg, which I can only get at our Farmers Market. However, when I'm buying from the grocery store I usually get Dunkin Donuts!

I probably had the same coupon, Mel, which is why I tried Caribou. It isn't worth it!

I drink all kinds. Starbucks Breakfast Blend and Morning Joe, Trader Joe's JOE, and some of the Archer farms fair trade coffees at Target.
