Gourmet Recipe for Yous

I just enjoyed a grilled ham and cheese sandwich with Luke and Claire, and I thought I would share the amazing complex recipe with the world, so you can enjoy one, too.

Grilled Ham and Cheese, a la Mel

Ingredients
2 slices of white bread (although I enjoy the healthier wheat bread, grilled cheese must always be on white)
2 slices of American cheese (preferably Land 'O Lakes American, because it is the best)
1 or 2 slices of thinly sliced ham (honey ham is good, but really, you can't go wrong here)
Like 1.5 tablespoons of shredded sharp cheddar cheese (no brand preference)
Spreadable butter (don't use Country Crock - that crap doesn't grill well; if you must use margarine, that's fine)
A squirt of Miracle Whip or regular mayo, regular strength or light

Method
Warm up your skillet for a couple of minutes on medium heat
Butter up two slices of bread
Place slice of bread, butter side down, in skillet
Place one slice of American on bread
Place one (or two) slice(s) of ham on American on bread
Place one slice of American on ham on American on bread
Sprinkle your cheddar on American on ham on American on bread
Place remaining slice of bread, butter side up, on top of it all
Grill both sides until lightly browned. Or go well-done, if you desire...just don't blame me
Place grilled sandwich on plate
Open sandwich (which is easy to do, since the ham in between the cheese prevents a full stickature)
Yes, stickature is a word
Squirt a bit of Miracle Whip or mayo in there and spread it around with a knife
Don't be a hater, MW/mayo is good.
Put sandwich back together and cut in half, diagonally.
It must be diagonally.
Eat and say, "mmmmmmmmmm!"
