After two gloomy rain-filled days, it was finally sunny yesterday! Cameron and I went to the post office (my favorite spot) and Target. We stood in line (or "on line" as Cam's daddy likes to say) for 15 farking minutes. I never used to mind standing in line much. Of course, I was not trying to negotiate a squirmy 25 pound creature back in those days! Cam was super-flirty at the post office. He kept "talking" to the little girl in front of us and then he was smiling and making kissy faces at the women behind us! What a ladies man! He was a very good boy in Target as well. I think he really enjoys cart riding.
It's supposed to be even nicer outside today. High 60s works for me! Cameron and I are going to try to get to the mall to make returns. Hey, it's supposed to be in the high 70s this weekend! That's like 80! What the heck! I hope it happens. Maybe we'll go to the park and Cam can have his first big-boy swing experience.
Cam has become pretty clingy lately. Especially with me. I know that separation anxiety is common at this age. He's not really afraid to go to anyone else - yet - but he really wants me to hold him a lot and is giving me lots of hugs and snuggles lately. Very uncharactaristic of him.
My checkbook is finally caught up! Yay! I feel a weight has been lifted from my shoulders. It's been behind for a few weeks. Bad recordkeeper! Tony gets paid tomorrow, so the cycle starts again, maybe. Unless I pay the bills right away and keep our receipts updated everyday. Like that will happen!
I finished the book I was reading, "The Blessing Way", last night. It's a Tony Hillerman novel and it was hard for me to get into it at first. I was on a roll by about halfway through, though. (Look at that....look how similar the words through and though look) I liked the ending. What to read next? I think I will start (well, I read the first 3 pages a couple weeks ago) "One For the Money". My friend Shannon gave me that book. Anyone read any good books lately? Any recommendations?
I can't believe it's the middle of April already. Time really flies. Which means I need to step up my weight loss efforts, big time. I'm getting rid of the Easter candy. I'm getting my ass to the gym. It's getting down to the wire. I wanted to be at my goal weight by Cam's birthday. I think it will take a miracle to make that happen now. I guess I'll make a new short-term goal....how about the original goal minus 10 pounds. We'll see where we go from there. My gym is open until 10pm Monday - Thursday. I think I will head over there after I put Cam to bed tonight. OK, well, wish me luck with the weight loss.
