Saturday Ramblings

My kid is a wild child! He was in spazzo hyper mode today. It was like he was on speed, no joke. He did not take one wink of a nap all day long. He cruised and crawled around, bouncing from toy to toy, area to area, screeching like a madman! It was pretty funny. And cute. Not to mention exhausting! We put him to bed early at 7pm. He was sawing logs in no time.

I wish he would eat a larger variety of foods. He won't eat vegetables. Nor will he stand for baby food veggies anymore. The only baby food he will eat - and I basically have to cajole him into eating it - is baby cereal. That stuff is wonderful for getting in a big chunk of iron. He won't eat pasta. Tonight, he dumped a whole bowl of macaroni on Tony and the floor. The dogs were quite appreciative. He won't eat meat, but he has eaten bacon. Eggs? No thank you, Mom & Dad. He WILL eat yogurt, toast, waffles, bread/rolls/biscuits, tater tots/french fries/potato pancakes, strawberries, grapes, cantaloupe, bananas, blueberries, cereal bars, cheese, cheerios, any Gerber snack food, crackers & junk like chips, ice cream and cake. Oh and lemons. I probably left something off the "will eat" list. I just wish he'd eat a more varied menu. Can you believe I have a picky eater?

My cousin, her boyfriend, my aunt and uncle are visiting from Florida through Tuesday. We went out to dinner with them last night. It was good fun! Cam turned on the charm for everyone. We are supposed to have a cookout/grill out/BBQ (whatever you want to call it) tomorrow, but neither Tony or I are feeling that energetic (Wild Cameron is exhausting!) and the house is a royal wreck. I think I'm going to suggest that we have dinner out and have them over Monday evening to visit instead. I hope no one gets upset.

The main message board I post on is closing. Tons of shit has hit the fan over the last couple of days. I am so sad about it. I don't want to lose touch with lots of those June moms. I don't want to miss seeing their little ones grow and change. I loved the pictures and videos. It's very frustrating. They are starting a new board to keep in touch, but I'm not sure I would be welcome registering there, since I posted on another private so-called "spin off" board as well. Lots of people, including friends of mine, are totally pissed about the "spin off" message board and think pretty lowly of its members. I don't know what will happen. It's all just so upsetting.

OK, need to lighten up this entry! Here's what I'm thankful for today - KFC. I mean, I can't eat it every day. Or every week. But every once in a while, when you don't feel like pizza but don't want to fix anything at home, KFC comes in mighty handy! They have tender, juicy chicken breast and the side items are decent. Had me some mashed potatoes (yeah, they're instant, but who cares?) and cole slaw tonight. A good meal, I say!

Well, I'm off to spend some quality time with Tony (i.e., me reading my book whilst he watches football on tv). Catch you later, Blog Readers.
