Lonely & Bored on Saturday Morning

Well, it's 10am on Saturday morning and I'm the only one up. Cameron's napping and Tony is STILL SLEEPING. Me, I'm on my second load of laundry. Had to throw dog towels in the washer because it's still so damn muddy outside and the dogs are filthy when they come in. I wish Tony would get up so I'd have someone to talk to. We did not do much talking last night because he was not in the best mood and I was so tired. Hope today is a good day. It has possibilities. The sun is shining. Cameron seems to be in a good mood. The dogs haven't barked at people closing car doors outside.

The kitchen is a mess. I'd go clean it, because I'm kind of bored, but I don't want to wake up the sleeping males.

Not too much is on my mind today. I'll tell you what Cam likes to eat these days, at 9 months old:

Pretty much all jarred babyfood. I hadn't given him any jarred meat, until last night, when he had Chicken Noodle Dinner. He loved it. I tasted it and it's pretty much just like chicken noodle soup, only in mush form.

Biter Biscuits (these are made by Gerber and are like cookies). Very messy.

Zwieback Toast (hard toasty rectangles with a nutty flavor. Also from Gerber. I think they smell like pizza...others do not agree)

Wagon Wheels. They taste like Apple Jacks cereal and are shaped like...you guessed it...wagon wheels. Gerber, as well.

Vegetable Crackers. These are yum. From the Gerber Graduates line, but I don't know why they're supposed to be for toddlers and not older babies. Cameron eats them fine. They tast like Sociables crackers. My mom always serves those crackers with her cheeseball. Now she can use veggie crackers.

Arrowroot Cookies. Gerber again. He loves 'em.

Saltine Crackers, Graham Crackers, plain and cheddar Goldfish, Cheerios.

He's had a bit of fresh banana and tolerated it. Same with american cheese, but he did not go ga-ga. He has had fresh pears once and was very impressed.

He does not like: grilled cheese, non-baby food carrots, boiled potatoes and mac & cheese. We'll try again later.

I know we'll be chastised on Easter for not feeding the kid ham, steak and such. I'm not kidding. Everyone knows how easy it is to chew a sirloin with just two bottom teeth.

Blah - my life is boring! I'm itching to get out and do something! What? Don't know. Anything. OK, done with feeling sorry for myself. I'm getting a shower. Even though the clothes washer will be hogging my hot water.
