Ha ha, this is rather humorous. I don't want to get all political on you guys, but did you see that the assault weapon ban has been lifted? I was watching The Daily Show and they showed Wayne LaPierre, from the NRA, in an interview on The Early Show. I can't find the exact quote, but he said something to the effect of....and this is my totally paraphrased interpretation...
"the original ban on assault rifles was dumb because it banned weapons based on cosmetic features. It's like going to a parking lot full of cars, all with the same engines, and accusing the cars with two hood ornaments of being responsible for drunk driving."
WHAT???? I'm sorry, but that doesn't make sense! Was that guy high or something? Or just stupid? Had he never heard or read a sensible analogy before?
OK, back to your regularly scheduled programming.
