My dad is coming home from the hospital today. He is feeling and looking much better.
I've decided to institute a Funny Word of the Week (FWOW). I suppose it will be a thursday thing, so let's begin today! This week's funny word is.....
Extrapolate!!!
verb, meaning
1) To infer or estimate by extending or projecting known information.
2) Mathematics. To estimate (a value of a variable outside a known range) from values within a known range by assuming that the estimated value follows logically from the known values.
I just like the way this word sounds. Maybe I like it because it has the word "stap" in it (sort of)? All I know is I never use it. You'd better bet I'll be using "extrapolate" in a sentence within the next few days, though! How fun is this? I'm broadening my vocab! Take some time to think of what you like about the word extrapolate. I also like how the long "o" sounds. It gives the word some authority. Am I full of shit, or what?
I tend to complain and rant about the little things. So, I think I will try to balance it out and list a little thing that I am thankful for in each entry. Today, I am thankful for the little fortune-like sayings inside Dove chocolate foils. My last foil told me "Listen to your heartbeat and dance." Isn't that deep? OK, I'm going to go into the livingroom, listen to my heartbeat and do a salsa dance. Check you later.
