Charley Sucks

So much to say, so little time. I think I'm going to break out all my news into separate entries. This one will be dedicated to the Hurricane Charley devastation. I have family in Port Charlotte, where Charley hit hard. I saw on the news that night that Charley had changed course and, instead of heading for Tampa, was headed straight toward Charlotte County. I saw the destruction on the news...all the photos of the damage...I was so worried about my aunt, uncle and cousin. The following day, my mom told me she had talked with them and that they are ok. Thank God! Their house is damaged - a tree limb impaled their roof. My cousin's car is pretty much totaled by a tree. Their pool cage is a mangled mess. But they are physically unharmed. All I can do is breathe a sigh of relief. There are so many people in their county who are unaccounted for. I can't even imagine how they must have felt during the storm. It must have been so frightening. All I an say is - Charley sucks.
