Cameron's 9-month doctor's appt

Yesterday was Cam's 9-month dr. visit. For some reason, he is afraid of the table in the room with the scale. I don't know why.

He was 25 pounds 9 ounces and 31 inches tall. He's still above the 95th percentile for height and weight. His head was 18 inches. No shots, just a toe prick to check his blood. His blood count was excellent so he can start having whole milk and reducing the formula, if he wants.

One small problem, if you can call it a problem. The doc noticed a "fibrous band of skin" at the base of his penis that would not push back. She said it's not a big deal and is common in little guys, especially little guys who are hefty, like Cam. She's referring us to a urologist. She said they either prescribe a steriod cream to make it "loosen" or just numb the area and snip the skin. I'm actually not worried or nervous about it.

Other than the pee pee issue, everything looked awesome! We scheduled his 1-year visit for June 30, his birthday. Poor guy is getting shots on his birthday! Speaking of his birthday...

I don't know what the heck we're going to do for a party. The cicadas should be dying down by then....so we could have a cookout, I guess. But who wants a cheeseburger marinated in cidada juice? I don't know what to do. I guess the party will have to be the weekend before his birthday, since Tony's cousin is getting married on July 3rd. And people are usually busy on July 4th, for some odd reason.

We had thunderstorms last night. It's supposed to clear up and get sunny later today. High 60s, I believe. Maybe Cameron and I will go shopping for Easter shoes (for me). Blech. Not looking forward to that. We also need more formula. Again. It's still out of stock at amazon.com. Darn!

I have a lot to do this morning. The usual shower. Laundry. Catch up on the checkbook and bills-paying. Upload pictures to the website. Unload dishwasher. If I do all that, I won't make it out this afternoon. I need to make reasonable goals. OK, for this morning: shower, dry hair, upload pics to site. This afternoon: unload dishwasher, shop. Tonight: start on checkbook.

Oh and by the way, No Soda April has been shot to shit. Just so you know. Time for cleansing ritual. Bye.
