Right now listening to: Barenaked for the Holidays Cincinnati tour download!
Reading: just finished 'Confessions of a Shopaholic' - a sweet, quick read!
We had a lovely Christmas! Cameron got SO. MUCH. STUFF. It's quite ridiculous, really. Luckily, Santa did not go overboard, otherwise there'd be even more! He's only playing with his Santa gifts right now. We haven't even brought the gifts from our extended families up from the basement yet. Earlier, Cam and I went through all his current toys and decided which ones we'd put in storage. We came up with a whole big laundry basket-full. In addition, we are taking a few key pieces to Grandma Jackie's house so he can play with them there. Cam had a good time taking all his put-away toys out of the basket and playing with them one last time. For now anyway. Until the next kid!
If I even try to list everything he got, it would look so obnoxious. And I'd probably forget lots. Actually, I just tried to itemize everything, but I really did leave out tons, so I deleted it all. Anyway, thanks to everyone for all the awesome Cameron!
So, we also go a dumping of snowy mother nature as an early Christmas gift. Some very major (non-interstate, though) roads are still looking like shit. It's amazing that our street looked really rather decent, when Dixie Highway was a chunky, snowy, icy, slippery mess. And only one lane in each direction. With people getting stuck in the middle when they tried to turn left. Amazing. Amazingly stupid, anyway. So, we get these sub-Arctic temps and then later this week it's supposed to be high 50s! Go figure! Now all this shit is going to melt! And then re-freeze every night! Yay! Yipee for winter! Buggers!
Guess what? My brother- and sister-in-law are expecting! (Stason, for those in-the-know) Oh, um, I think it's still a secret, until they are 12 weeks, which is in 2 weeks. She's had some problems with bleeding and such, so they are pretty cautious. I think it's freaking cool. Now some of the attention will be taken off us! Isn't that horrible? She had told me like last year that it was in her 'plan' to have a kid before she turned 30, so I'm not totally surprised, but it was fun and cool to hear on Christmas Eve morning. In our trying-to-conceive news, we are chugging right along...I guess. It's our ninth month trying. Today is cycle day 12. I expect to ovulate in the next couple days, although I haven't gotten a positive ovulation predictor test yet. I think I have 3 sticks left, so I may test again tonight. Too much info, but the "conditions" seem, um, right? ripe? ugh! whatever! for ovulation to occur pretty soon. Oh god. forget it. I'll just say it. The discharge is looking good. Blah! Next!
Oh, if you checked out what I'm listening to at the top, you'd figure out that I've bitten the bullet and downloaded the mp3 version of my Barenaked Ladies Cincinnati show this time, instead of waiting ions for the cd to arrive. I was too scared last concert to do it. I figured I'd screw up the download somehow or that the mp3 quality would suck or something. And plus I'm kind of old-school and just like to have a physical cd. Anyway, screw all that. My download rocks! They give you the opportunity to download it 3 times, as just one big old track for the entire concert, or separate mp3s for each song. And one time in case you sod up the entire process, like I thought I would. (Do you know what 'sod' means?) I did not mess anything up and the quality is awesome. So, snaps to me for taking advantage of technology. Plus it's cheaper to download and you don't have to worry about shipping. And I can print of the cd cover and tray sheet.
Well, I have to pee really badly and I still need a shower, so I'd better go take care of those things while C-note's still napping. TTYL, as I would have once written at the end of a note in middle school!
