Woe. Woe.

So, I just have to say it, have to let it out.  Sometimes, I feel like saying FML and giving up.  Can any fucking thing go in the right direction for me?  Got a call from the company I interviewed at Friday and got majorly excited.  OMG, already?!  Yay!  Well, guess what?  They think my skills would be better suited for a lower level position with the company.  What?  Can you get much lower?  Ugh.  So, they're forwarding my resume to the agency that deals with hiring for that position.  So, you might say, "Well, Mel, they don't totally hate you.  At least they didn't tell you to eff off."  Yeah, true.  But OMFG.  Just?  Just.  Just, FML.  I'm going to go hide under a rock for a while.

(I'm really not this negative all the time, but feel like buckets of crap at the moment.  Sorry.)

Update:  Interview for the crap job is this Thursday.  It's full time, but only permanent after a 3 month probation period.  For the rejects.

Yup. That's a kick in the teeth. Look at it this way . . . Get the entry level job. Blow them away. Get promoted.

Side note: I once interviewed a woman to be an Assistant Property Manager. I don't remember why I turned her down, but I did. Two months later I called the Executive Director's office and guess who answered the phone as the new Assistant to the E.D.? Yup. She's still there six years later.
