Holiday Weekend, Part 1

So had my job interview Friday. Luke said my hair looked crazy and was worried that would be distracting.  He's 4.5. Despite my appearance,  I think it truly went well.  They seemed to be impressed with my mad computer skillz.  The lead interviewer took me to her desk and showed me way too much. Accounts, clients, processes, systems. Hope that's a good sign. I think I'd like the job, too. It's kinda like quality control. Clients call in to a call center, requesting service (like network changes, computer parts...IT junk). I would be responsible for making sure techs are working on the ticket, following up, through the ticket's completion, based on that corporation's contract.  Mostly via email, some phone calls. Could totally do it, and do it well.  Please cross your fingers on this one. I should know after this coming Tuesday. Is it my dream job? No. Would it be as fulfilling as my job at CLife? No. But it would be something. A start.

We celebrated Cam's seventh birthday yesterday at Texas.  I'm pretty sure everyone had a great time.  Then we went to Amy & Shawn's for cake and ice cream.  Cam got a ten chapter book and was already starting chapter 10 when I made him put the book away for bed.  When I went to check on him, he had sneaked the book in bed and was finishing it up.  He's so fight-the-power, like his mom.

Today, I dragged a bunch of junk out of my old house and to the Bed & Breakfast.  It's the beginning of eradicating me from the house.  Ex wants me to start watching the kids at the B&B during the day.  OK, fine, as long as you either provide meals or $$ for them to eat while they're here.  And I'm taking all my crap and half of the bath towels and my sweet flat panel tv now.  I'll be back for the dishes and assorted decor later.  Then I'll get Cathy's Dad's truck and get my furniture, and by the way, when are you buying me those mattresses?  Happy 4th!  Independence, indeed.

This afternoon I am accompanying J & B at J's family's celebration.  It's supposed to be a wickedly entertaining time.  I'm bringing my camera, just in case.  Oh, and it's hot.   HOOOOOTTTTTTT.  I'm wearing an orange shirt to show my patriotism.  Yesterday, I wore a skirt.  Not because I'm dressy or girlie much...but because I needed to do laundry and didn't feel like wearing pants.  But it did make me feel girlie, which isn't necessarily and awful thing.  Today, I did laundry, so back to capris it is.

I officially am in need of a pedicure.  Has it been a month?  Dunno, just know that the polish is a chipped off mess. I don't have no money for a pedicure. :(  I do have supplies to do my own, but I'm super-skeered.

Thanks, email, for alerting me of Kohl's Lowest Prices of the Year Sale.  Can you believe Kohl's is having a sale?  Those folks never have sales.  More than 7 times per week, anyway.  But really?  Their lowest prices aren't very impressive.  Not that I don't want to go right out and buy a pair of capris, a pair of shorts, 2 tanks, 3 tshirts, and a cute little mossy colored peasant top right now.  And a pair of flip flops, since my Target ones broke the other night.  Not at all.

Yes, I broke my flip flop the other night, don't ask me how cause I'm not saying.  It'll just make me look dorkier than I already appear, and it happened in public and I looked like a fool attempting to walk out of that place.  That's all.  The end.

Happy 4th to you.
