Harvesting, etc.

Kids are eating popcorn, watching Star Wars Epidode 4, and....camping out in the living room. Don't know what I'm asking for with this special night. All I know is I'm sick of Episode 4 (and all the other Episodes at this point), hate the smell of popcorn, and Claire is super-hyped up. I hope she falls asleep soon and stops asking me question after question after question. She is so three years old.

I took a walk out to the garden earlier. I'm disappointed. All that's there is tomato after tomato. Cherries. Romas. It seems that the cucumber plants have been smothered by the tomato plants. That makes me sad. I love cukes. Mind you, I did not plant anything this year, or tend to the garden at all, or any of that. But I did do some harvesting tonight, and I'm taking advantage the Keep What You Harvest rule that I just made up. Got tons of tomatoes, and one questionable cucumber.

I'm worried about the cucumber.  It's firm, yet kinda...not very green.  I fear I picked it too soon, but I really want a cucumber. Girthy fella, isn't he?

I will tell you that I am working on a project.  I've procured my very own domain name and have an awesomediggity friend who has agreed to host my site.  I'm working on figuring out what the hell I'm doing in setting things up.  Slow going, to say the least.  Cut me some slack, though, because I have lots of little distractions and stuff making my mind go in all different directions.  It might be quite a while. :)

As for tonight, I predict I'll be carrying three sleeping children to their beds at some point.  That's fine.  At least they'll have memories of the fun time they ate popcorn, watched Star Wars and sorta slept in the living room with their cool mom.

update:  Claire is in her bed already, and Luke just told me he wants to sleep in his room after the movie, because it's more comfortable. ;)

updated update:  All three hooligans are in their beds.  Practical kids, they are.  Either that or completely spoiled by comfort.  Like their mom.
