So, I had a couple of personal care items to pick up, and also wanted to get a cheapass coffee maker for Cathy's house (cause carting mine back and forth for weekends sucks). I didn't want to do it, but it was right next to Texas. THE WAL MARTS. Ugh. They didn't have my shampoo. They had a cheapass coffee maker (so cheap, in fact, that I'm wondering if the thing actually works?) and they had my coffee. Guess what else they had? Guess!
ta-da!
God Bless Wal Mart. God Bless the USA. Because they're packing their trucks fuller to save on fuel costs. Somehow.
Also, it got hotter. And the sun sort of came out for a bit. Now it's just mostly cloudy instead of completely gloomy. I should totally be a meteorologist.
Finally, my kids are unreal. Their personalities amaze me. Did I contribute to this? Do I have a huge role in shaping their character? We were in the Wal Mart parking lot (shudder) and Luke stopped walking, very seriously pointed at the ground and said with great astonishment, "Somebody littered!" Right away, Claire pipes up with, "That's so inappwopwiate." What almost-3 yr old says 'inappropriate?' Then, we were driving home, and music must always be on in the car, or Claire gets angsty. She loves most all of the music I play, but one of her all-time favs came on, Rilo Kiley's "It's a Hit." She really gets into the "it's a holiday for a hanging" parts, as well as "your writer's block - it don't mean shit." So after she belted out about 1/2 of the lyrics (which is commendable - it's a wordy little tune!), she smiled and said "I like that song. It's cute."
P.S. I am crazy with craziness today. Euphoric, even. Sigh.

If you pack the tracks fuller, doesn't that make them heavier? Doesn't that increase the costs? Oh well. Chinese math I guess.
Have you seen that commercial? A WM truck driver is bragging about how he's helping to save the environment. I *think* the point they're trying to make is a better-packed truck means fewer trips? So fewer trucks on the road? But I am so with you on this one, Ace.
I like that your daughter is a Rilo Kiley fan. She has great taste.
