In which I am old and perceived to be menopausal

So, I went to the doctor today (have been sick, fainted this morning, but the fainting was likely a fluke and now have meds) and the nurse who took my vitals asked me if I'm still having periods.  What?  Of course I am!  I am only 36 and 11 months.  OMG, is it time to be looked upon as middle aged?  I'm not ready to be chucked into the menopause category.  The scale said nice things, though.

I'm feeling pretty good (despite the sinus pressure and low grade fever) about the steps I'm taking medically.  I passed out and didn't let it go.  Got it checked out to be sure.  Made my annual gyno appointment.  Made an appointment with my regular doctor to talk about getting back on the crazy meds.  Ready to take charge of that mess.

Decided that since I'm tired of drifting through life, it's up to me to effect the change.  Nothing's going to just happen to me to make things better...it's a series of things I need to work on for myself.

Go me.

Go, Mel! Doctor stuff is one of the hardest for me, so I am very impressed.
