The dashboard melted but we still have the radio

Blah, blah, blah, you must know about the mundane things.

I just had a marathon present wrapping session.  All Santa gifts wrapped, plus the kids' gifts from me.  And gifts for my niece.  Still need to wrap some others, and here's a scary fact:  still need to buy some others.  When?  Good question, since I work all day tomorrow, Christmas Eve, and have a family party tomorrow night.  Um....can you say poor planning?  Well, that plus haven't had the money to buy them.  Whine, sob, cry - I know.

I am listening to Christmas music, because that's what you're supposed to do when you wrap.  Currently up is a Michael Buble holiday album deal, and on comes a duet between him and Shania Twain.  And I almost vomited.  Maybe she's ok to some people, but to me, she sounds like a mountain lion caught in a giant trap.  In this song at least.  Skip.

I switched to Modest Mouse.

Maybe because I typed "trap" and my mind automatically went to "mouse."

I'm training a new guy at work.  He's got a big white beard and says that when kids point at him and say, "Santa!" he winks and gives them a smile.  He said just a little bit of effort on his part brings great joy to the children.  Isn't that sort of awesome?
