Silly little post

So, I am feeling very good!  I feel happy and tingly.  I have someone special in my life, and I'm pleased to be someone special to that person, too.

Also, my apartment has a doorbell.  I have a bluetooth, but haven't used it yet.  I have internet service and a cool network name.  I have a job and I *think* I'm respected there.  I have new friends who I'm getting to know.

Today, my mom is coming to have lunch with the kids and me. I think we're going to get a pizza...pretty easy and stress-free.

Claire is currently serving me lots of coffee. She has a Fisher Price teapot and teacups. Coffee consists of Barrel of Monkeys little red monkeys. The barrel is the grinder. A philips screwdriver is her mixer.

Luke is watching The Lion King, but wants to watch Lord of the Rings. Not sure if it's too intense for him or not.

Cam is on a Cub Scout camping trip with his dad. He'll be here later this morning.

Yesterday, Luke, Claire and I went to the coolest birthday party! The theme was John Deere, and there was a giant straw pit the kids could jump into. Think: swimming pool made of straw bales (bales? rectangles? I dunno) and filled with loose straw. I've never seen kids have so much fun. The kids all got cowboy/girl hats. They got to roast marshmallows and make smores. Totally a blast!

Also, I'm kind of a badass of a mom. At the party, this one "spirited" little boy totally stole Luke's play cowboy gun and ran away with it. Tears from Luke. I told him, "stop crying and we'll go talk about it." Went up to the boy and said, "Excuse me, I think you accidentally grabbed my son's gun from his hand." I'm sure I sounded bitchy. The kid's dad seemed taken aback. Result? Luke got his six-shooter back.

Not that I'm a fan of toy guns. At all. But it was cowboy-appropriate.

(I'm letting Luke watch LOTR. I think it'll be ok)

Later, when Claire and Luke are napping, Cam an I will tackle laundry. I'm pretty certain he'll think it's cool to do laundry in our building's shared laundry room. I know I just love scrounging for quarters and vying for an open machine. ;)

Happy Sunday to you.
