< rant >

Right, so I'm no programming genius.  Actually, I'm not a programmer.  But even I can grasp how things kinda-sorta work behind the scenes.  Or how they should work, anyway.  So, something that really very much bothers me on Twitter is this kind of nonsense:

Note that I took the time to circle and highlight the portion I want you to pay attention to, using my fancy/free MS Paint.  So, yeah, "1 hours ago."  Makes me want to gouge my eyes out.  Or repeatedly slam my thumb in a door or something.

Like I mentioned, I'm no computer science master or anything, but seriously people at Twitter, how hard can it be?

Look, I'll show you.

If time (or some programmy term to reflect time) > 1 hour
     Then add an s.
Else don't add an s. (or maybe, Else omit the s.) (or how about, Else s)

Am I right?  Huh?  Wouldn't it be pretty simple?  Maybe not as simple as my suggestion, but if you know what you're doing, I'm sure it would be an easy fix.

THAT MAKES ME CRAZY TOO.

It also bugs me when Facebook statuses say things like, "Jeff updated their status." I'm fat, but I'm not two people just yet.
