Every time I start the washer, and the water is filling, it sounds like the phone is ringing. Like the water has the same frequency as the phone's ring. So many times, I've stopped stuffing in clothes and dashed into the kitchen, only to find a dormant, non-ringing phone.
So, isn't it appropriate that once I've decided to ignore the phantom chimes that surface when I start the wash, the phone actually rings? And I miss the call. And it's usually Tony. Who probably thinks I am ignoring him.
Blame it on the laundry.
