I don't know if you are aware of this, but my kids are nuts.
Luke carries all kinds of objects around in the waistband of his pants. Vacuum cleaner attachments, a gum box, a light saber, a kid hammer, an adult picture level, an adult screw driver. The list goes on.
It's like a mental asylum around here. I wonder if my kids are "special," or if our house happenings are typical.
Claire takes a bite of a cinnamon roll, smiles, and cracks up like she's just heard the funniest joke ever.
Cam pokes holes in his train picture that he's just colored on purpose. It adds to the charm.
Luke commands Tony to write letters on a napkin with a crayon - one at a time - by raising his arm, finger pointed, in the air, yelling "HHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!" "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" "SSSSSSS!"
Claire carries the step stool from the bathroom to the middle of the living room, situates herself upon it, and stand there with both arms in the air and a beaming smile on her face. Like a gymnast.
Cam pees with the bathroom door open, always singing the same "doo doo doo doo whoo whoo whoo whoo whoo" song at the top of his lungs.
Claire insists I hold everything...sippy cup, doll, coasters, crayon, Hot Wheels, remote, magazine. I am constantly surrounded by objects she's brought to me
Cam reads everything, and recites things off gum boxes, like "Whitens Teeth!" with zest and gusto.
Cam's also a joke-player. He'll hide Tony's shoe and giggle like a madman. (Claire tries to tell Tony that his shoe is missing).
We have chocolate milk chugging contests.
I can't help but think we, the adults, contribute to the madness. We might be responsible for it.
Tony tells the kids the Ukraine is a crane, shaped like a U.
I make up songs and sing them at the top of my lungs.
And the kids love it all. They think this is normal.
We are nuts.

I cannot attest. The Maddox family is truly crazy. Not everyone can be normal like the Frys.
I CAN attest, I meant to say...
