Here she is after a hard bout of partying a couple of weeks ago:
Claire has two giant teeth coming in, so she is kind of fussy about that. We've actually had to bust out the Motrin. Otherwise, she's still one cool kid. She's way into me, though, and I feel sort of bad for Tony. She basically runs from him and wraps her arms around me. It's cute, and flattering, and not annoying at all since she's so easy-going. I know it's a phase. Ok, I hope it's a phase. She's presently dancing to the Backyardigans theme song.
Luke is having some separation anxiety issues. Actually, he's having some lack-of-control anxiety issues. Like if he can't control a situation (or at least feel in control, even if he's not) he freaks out. For instance, preschool. For instance, soccer. We're working through them. He's presently on the floor, whining about wanting fresh peaches, and taping his foot to the Backyardigans theme song.
Cam is doing awesomely in Kindergarten. His printing is improving, slowly but surely. He's reading up a storm. He can seriously read a pretty complicated book (say, The Giving Tree or Green Eggs and Ham) with little trouble. And he reads in a flowing manner - not like typical learning readers...you know...."I. (pause) Am. (pause) Sam. (pause) Sam. (pause) I. (pause) Am." He's got the teenage angst thing going still, but to a lesser degree. I think his adjustment to Kindergarten phase is in its final days. I hope. He's currently in school, where I'm sure he's not watching Backyardigans. But he could possibly be dancing. They do the Macarena while singing all the months every day.
I am trying really hard to get a lot of Google hours in this week. We get a small bonus if we work 25 hours this week. I'm used to working like 11 or 12. So it's a challenge. The extra hours and bonus would help buy my van new tires. Or Tony's car new brakes. Whichever is needed more urgently!
OK, well, off to change another poopy diaper. And put a sleepy-eyed pooper down for her nap.
