Taking a break from my Power Hour Sunday. AKA, my I-only-had-three-Google-hours-the-rest-of-the-week-and-now-need-to-cram-in-at-least-seven-today usuallness. Usualness. Either way, apparently, it's not a word. I'm doing ok...I'm trucking along, taking infrequent and small breaks to do stuff like urinate, eat, throw laundry in the dryer, and coming up here in a few minutes, teeth-brushing. Tony took the kidlets to J-Ville to visit with one of the in-law sets. Very cool.
Kindergarten is going well for Cam. He loves school, and doesn't want to have days off. In a few years, he'll realize this attitude is way nutso, but for now, I'm glad he enjoys it that much! Even more, he loves riding the bus. Nutso. As much as he loves it, school is definitely taking its toll on him. I don't know if he's just extremely tired from his new schedule, or if he's trying so incredibly hard to behave in school that he just has to explode at home....but he is a freaking bear lately! Fits. Big ones. Attitude. Big one. Eye rolls. Lots of them. Asserting himself a ton. I'm waiting for the adjustment period to end and normalcy to kick in once more. In the meantime, it's like living with a 15-year-old.
Both boys are playing Fall soccer this season. Well, I use the term 'play' very loosely. Cameron is playing, at least keeping up with the ball, showing interest and running (sometimes skipping) with the pack. He's still timid about actually kicking the ball, or even stealing the ball from anyone during practice drills. I was proud that he seemed interested and energetic during his first game yesterday, though. Big turn-around from last year's clueless wandering about the field. And Luke - he was Mr. Gung Ho, Heck Yeah I'll Play Soccer kid. All talk. He barely participates at practice and refused to play during the game. He sat on the sidelines and cried, screamed or buried his head in his arms. Or the ground. The parents on his team are so cool and encouraging, though. Hopefully, we'll get him on the field before season's end.
OK, enough stalling...this has been my longest break. Off to scour the crud from my tusks.

Aww, sounds like the boys are having fun! Well, except for a hiccup from Mister Gung-Ho Soccer Star. That is so typical, Reid would do the 5-YO version of that at t-ball sometimes. Mostly complaining about anything he could come up with.
Glad Cam is having fun in kindergarten!
