So, 'sup y'all? That's how I usually talk.
We're watching Talladega Nights. I can't not do two things at once, and since I'm tired of working for the week and am content with my measly 12.75 hours, I've decided to blog.
So, I found out yesterday that my niece will be named Rowan Clara. Rowan, after Mr. Bean...and Clara, because Amy and Shawn want to be like us. OK, seriously, I love the name Rowan, and truly considered it as our Bear's middle name. And Clara is to honor Shawn's great-grandmother. Cameron and Luke call the baby Gigi, and aren't too happy that they've decided to name her something else. Luke told me today that her name is Gigi Rowan Claire-Claire Fry. At a separate time, and not knowing what Luke had said, Cam suggested Gigi Rowan Clara Beara Fry. My little goofy children! Makes a mama proud.
Guess who's going to see Barenaked Ladies in a few weeks? Her name starts with M and ends with E. ME! And Tony, the lucky fella. I'm getting all excited. I haven't seen them in, what, two years? OK, 1.75 years...I was newly pregnant with Claire.
So here's some fun news. My nephew, Finn, has chicken pox. We were with him last Sunday, at his 1-year birthday party. Like, two days later, he started getting the spots. Now he's a full-blown scabby mess. Poor guy. Now, for the fun part. I noticed tonight that Claire has some little dots on her torso. The look like heat rash or little pimples. Thing is, I've read that you have to have pretty close contact to pass the pox. While Finn and Claire played "together" last week, they didn't touch each other. It was more like side-by-side play. So, hopefully, Claire just has some irritation on her chest/belly. Which wouldn't be odd, since her skin is sensitive anyway. Cross your fingers.
OK, well, off to pay more attention to the movie. And remember, if you ain't first, you're last.
