I "watched" this as I was working last night. Let's start off by saying that I love westerns. About as much as I love sinus pressure. So, here's a story about a rancher who either is legless or has a nearly-useless leg (didn't look up much, but it's what I gathered from the dialog), his son thinks he's a pansy-ass, and he doesn't want to give up his land to the railroad. Oh, and he owes some guy some money. So, for some extra bucks, he agrees to escort an outlaw to the train station...his train leaves at 3:10, go figure. The outlaw grows to like the rancher, and he turns out to not be as much of a pansy-ass as we once thought. In the end, the outlaw's gang shoots the rancher in the back, killing him. The outlaw then shoots his gang and gets on the train and whistles for his horse to gallop along side of the train.
My prediction: sequel called 4:37 Back to the Ranch. The outlaw jumps heroically from the train onto his trusty steed and hightails it back to the ranch so he can bang the rancher's green-eyed wife and become the strong, strapping husband and father the pansy-ass rancher never was. Then they sell the land to the railroad and strike oil and become rich, rich, rich.
Fabulous film. Fabulouser sequel. I just love westerns.
