Cam is a rough-and-tumble kind of guy. Sunday, he assaulted me with a Peek-a-blocks giraffe. Hit me right in the nose with it. I saw stars. My fault, though, for lying down right in his path of destruction.
More Cam - his new favorite word is "baby." Everything is a baby now. The dogs=babies. His lovey (a stuffed puppy with heart eyes)=baby. Basically any random toy=baby.
Speaking of Cam's lovey (Mommy-speak for special soft toy or blanket)....Cameron can't sleep without his Puppy! It's a stuffed dog with hearts for eyes. His "Aunt" Jackie gave it to him for Valentine's Day, I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong, AJ. Here's the puppy:
I don’t know what will go down if anything ever happens to Puppy. AJ, where did you get Puppy? If anyone ever sees Cam’s puppy, PLEASE, either let me know or snatch it up quickly for us. I’ll gladly pay you for your trouble.
Sooooo, this is our first “official” month of trying to conceive baby numero dos. This is actually our third cycle trying - we unofficially tried in May and June, but to no avail. Today is cycle day 11. My past couple of cycles have been approximately 27 days long. My ovulation predictor test yesterday was negative, but my temperature dipped big time, so ovulation is probably on the horizon. I haven’t tested yet today…as soon as I work up some, uh, pee pressure, I’m off to test. This is my first cycle of recording my basal temperature daily. I basically have no idea what I’m doing or how to read my fertility chart. All I know is, at the end of the cycle, if your temps stay up, you are prob pregnant. If they drop, you will prob get your period instead. OK, well, I just tested (aka peed on a stick) so we’ll know in 5 minutes if I have high levels of the hormone released just before you ovulate. OK, probably way too much info for most of you!
I bought a pair of jeans at Old Navy the other day. They are size 12. Woo – Hoo, Cockadoodalydoo.
Oh my, you have to try Texas Roadhouse. There is a new one in our area. Is it national? It seems to be. Anyway, they have the best bbq ribs ever! And a wonderful salad with ranch dressing. I don’t care for the peanut shells on the floor, but those ribs are worth it!
FYI, the OPK (ovulation predictor kit) is positive. Guess you can figure what we’ll be doing tonight.
I’m off to shower now. After Cam wakes, eats and bathes, we have errands to run. Looking for a new diaper bag and perhaps another pair of shorts for me.
Catch you later!
