Cameron Maddox for Pres!

Well, it's election day. Amy came over to watch Cam while I voted. I had put him down for a nap shortly before Amy got here. He was still jabbering and kicking when I left. Our voting place is the firehouse up the street. I got there about 11am, walked in, voted and left. No line! By the time I got home, C-note was snoring. So pretty much, Amy sat with the dogs for less than 10 minutes! It always seems to rain on election day around here. Today is no exception. Do you like talking about who you voted for? It's uncomfortable for me. Mainly because I don't like to get into heated debates. Everyone has their opinions, and as long as they are educated, researched opinions, I'm fine with that. I'll just tell you that I voted for Kerry and against Kentucky's stupid amendment that denies legal status for unions between unmarried people. OK, enough politicking.

We got through the visitation and entombment services ok. It was sad, of course, but everything seemed surreal. Still does. Tons and tons of people came out to pay their respects. Mom, Amy and I are getting along ok, I guess. I am fine as long as I am busy doing something. Anything. Reading, watching tv, playing with Cam - anything to keep my mind busy. As soon as I sit to just reflect, things go downhill. That time in bed, when the lights are out and I am trying to fall asleep...that's a really difficult time.

Today's the big day (aside from the election)! Today, BNL fanclub tickets go on sale at 5pm. I'm pretty excited. I hope hope hope we get excellent seats. We won't know where we are sitting until we get there on December 17, though. The tickets will be at Will Call. Kind of scary! I'm praying for row 4 or closer, but will be happy with any "close" seat. I'm positive Ladies Room tickets will be worlds better than any ticket I could buy from Ticketmaster.

Cameron is a walking fool these days! He really started going about a week ago. He's much more confident now. Another thing...I can't keep the kid off the couch. He climbs up there and tries to play with the window blinds. Last week, he slipped and cracked his head on the marble window sill. He still has a mark. I tell him over and over, "on the couch - on your bottom" and sit him down, but he's back to standing in like 15 seconds. I can't wait for this phase to be over with. I'm telling you, it's annoying.

Well, You-Know-Who is awake, so I'd better feed him some lunch! Adios for now and go vote!
