First, Cameron's doctor appointment:
It went well! Cam is 28 lbs 10 oz (my god) and 33.5 inches tall. Both hovering just above the 95th percentile. He's all healthy and set to go for his probe and irrigation surgery to clear his blocked tear ducts on Thursday.
Cam only walks selectively (like, he'll take a crapload of steps to get to my bowl of potato chips or a dog!) and the pedi said that is fine! Said he's close and well on his way.
Pretty much an uneventful appointment...he got two vaxes - prevnar and MMR. They are holding off on his DPT until 18 months, just so that any reactions won't interfere with Thursday's surgery. She didn't say anything about a flu shot and I forgot to ask, dammit.
One thing I noticed, Cameron was much more at ease in the exam room than he has been lately. More confident. He still cried with his shots, but he got over it very quickly and was even extremely cooperative in getting dressed. He's such a good boy and I'm so proud of him!
(poor guy is wiped out from the shots and is sleeping now)
Next, Barnaked for the Holidays. Not wonderful news. I'm pretty much pissed. At stores, at myself. So the record was released today. Cam and I went to Best Buy. Nope, they aren't getting it in until they get the rest of their holiday shipments. I was upset, but it wasn't a wasted trip. We needed a printer cartridge. Let's just hope I got the right one.
So, we drove over to Media Play (I've never had any luck at Media Play ever, so my hopes were low). The clerk looked it up on the computer. " It should be in," she says, "but it's not." Ok.....then she says, "hey, we don't even have the new Usher cd in yet." Ahhh, I see, well that makes everything all better. That place just sucks.
So, we have about 20 minutes until we need to leave for Cameron's doctor's appointment, so we try FYE at the mall. Surprise! They don't have it either. The manager says, "I'll keep my eyes open for it, though." That's nice. A lot of good that does me.
So, Cam and I get in the car to go to his appointment. I'm strapping him into his carseat and I stop to just gather my thoughts, my head in my hands. I look up and Cam has his hand up on his head, smiling! What a cutie, imitating me. Definitely made me smile.
Anyway, I was pissed at the stores for not having the CD I so wanted, mad at myself for not calling stores first to check. After Cam's pedi appointment, I called Barnes and Noble, who actually had the Barenaked for the Holidays in stock and happily reserved me a copy. Which I'm listening to now! So far, so good! I'm only on song #4, so I can't really give a review yet. Look for that soon!
OK, I'm off to concentrate on the musica. Happy Holidays ;)
